Delegate Controls used by DocRead

If the DocRead ribbon is not shown on your SharePoint site after installing and attaching DocRead to a document library then you may have a customised master page that does not contain the delegate controls used by DocRead.

To help to diagnose the problem here is the list of standard SharePoint delegate controls that DocRead uses:

  • From version 1.0 to 2.5: “GlobalNavigation“
  • From 2.6 onwards: “AdditionalPageHead“
